International Internship process
After the agreement to take on an international intern, you design an assignment and specify the candidate profile based on your requirements.
Your account manager will search for suitable interns based on your candidate profile. Every candidate in our pool went trough interviews by a review board in their home country. This is done to ensure that all the candidates are well-qualified and professional persons.
A short list of 3-5 suitable candidates is presented to you within four weeks. After a telephone/ online interview you decide whether to employ the candidate. If you do not consider the candidates suitable, a new shortlist of possible candidates will be presented.
AIESEC will take care of the working permit and entry visa application when needed. You will only have to provide us certain documents necessary to apply for the permits. Applying takes between 4 and 10 weeks depending on the intern's country of residence.
AIESEC in the intern's home country supports the intern with extensive cultural preparation training. AIESEC in The Netherlands makes sure there is proper accomodation.
Upon arrival of the intern we will arrange several practical details such as airport pickup, registration at the municipality, taking out insurance and opening up a bank account.
The intern will be accompanied to his/her first working day by an AIESEC account manager.
We provide ongoing activities for the interns to discover and connect with the Dutch culture. This will provide your intern a network of AIESEC members and other international interns.
In order to constantly deliver high quality service we make periodic evaluations of both the company and the intern. Evaluations will be held at the beginning, during and after the internship.
